Studio Metriz:

Comprehensive 1,050-Hour ADVANCED Pilates Teacher Training Program

Integrative, Osteopathic, Somatic, Classical & Contemporary

Purpose & Vision

“Pilates is not about fitness — it is about restoring health.”
-Samya

The Studio Metriz Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program provides a 1,050-hour, osteopathically informed education that unites classical Pilates, osteopathic science, and somatic movement education.

Designed and taught by osteopaths Samya Tatone DO and Georges Touret DO, this curriculum bridges movement and medicine — preparing instructors who can teach, perceive, and facilitate healing from the inside out.

Why the Osteopathic Perspective Matters

Osteopathy teaches that structure governs function. When the body’s tissues move freely and are properly aligned, the internal systems can self-regulate and heal.
This program weaves that principle through every module:

  • Integration of Systems: Students learn to observe how fascia, viscera, nerves, and breath create a unified motion field.
  • Depth over Display: In contrast to “fitness on reformer” trends, this training reclaims Pilates as a road to health — not performance.
  • Inclusive Teaching: Graduates are equipped to guide every body type, including those with chronic pain, nervous-system dysregulation, and structural imbalance.
  • Therapeutic Precision: Teachers are trained to discern between structural, fascial, and visceral restrictions, addressing each appropriately through movement and breath.

By understanding osteopathy, graduates evolve beyond choreography — they become movement therapists who use Pilates as a clinical-yet-artistic form of care.

Here, you will learn a method that honours:

The body as an interconnected ecosystem

Fascia as the continuity that unifies movement

Breath as a regulator of structure, emotion, and fluid mobility

Pilates as a road to health, not performance

Teaching as an act of regulation, guidance, and restoration

Our graduates emerge with a rare depth of knowledge — the capacity to teach meaningfully, work across special populations, support chronic pain, and stand out as highly qualified, integrative movement educators.

Welcome to a new standard of Pilates education.

Studio Metriz Regenerative Residency

Our Flagship Program

The Studio Metriz Regenerative Residency is designed for teachers — not just to become better educators, but to restore their own nervous systems and bodies while doing so.

This is an in-home healing residency for movement professionals, Pilates teachers, and therapists. Within your 18-month immersive experience, with 4-day intensives every 4-6 weeks, Studio Metriz combines advanced teaching education with detoxification, plant-based nutrition, breathwork, and embodiment workshops.

If you feel that your body, nervous system, or inspiration could benefit from a year of structured regeneration alongside professional mastery, I invite you to apply.

Relax & Refresh

Nervous system regulation.

A year-and-half-long professional reset that restores the teacher as a living system

Embodied Practice

Somatic intelligence.

Residents do not simply study regeneration —
they experience it in their own bodies, so they can teach from lived knowledge rather than theory.

18-month professional immersion

“The residency unfolds as a private, in-home immersive experience, where room, board, and regenerative meals are fully provided, creating the conditions for deep study, embodied integration, and systemic restoration.”

Who This Residency Is For

The Studio Metriz Regenerative Residency is designed for established movement professionals who already hold foundational training and are seeking to refine, deepen, and sustain their work at a higher level.

This residency is for you if you are:

  • A certified Pilates teacher or movement educator with existing teaching experience

  • A teacher-in-training nearing certification and ready for advanced integration

  • A therapist or allied health practitioner (physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage therapy, rehabilitation) seeking to integrate movement education with clinical reasoning

  • An experienced educator who wants to upgrade assessment skills, cueing precision, and programming intelligence

  • A professional interested in osteopathic principles, systems-based thinking, and nervous system regulation as applied to movement

  • A practitioner seeking long-term sustainability, professional longevity, and reduced burnout

  • A teacher who values depth over choreography and embodiment over performance

  • Someone ready to engage in a 12-month immersive professional commitment that includes both intellectual rigor and embodied regeneration

This residency is particularly suited to educators who sense that while their technical skills are strong, their work would benefit from greater clarity, integration, and physiological support.

Who This Residency Is Not For

The Studio Metriz Regenerative Residency is not entry-level training and is not designed to replace foundational certification programs.

This residency may not be the right fit if you are:

  • Completely new to movement education with no prior training

  • Looking for a quick certification, weekend workshop, or technique-focused upgrade

  • Primarily interested in learning exercise choreography without deeper clinical context

  • Unwilling or unable to commit to in-person intensives over a 12-month period

  • Seeking a spa-style retreat or wellness getaway rather than structured professional education

  • Uncomfortable with self-reflection, embodiment, and experiential learning as part of professional development

  • Expecting purely theoretical instruction without practical, applied integration

Two Training Pathways

OPTION A —18-MONTH COMPREHENSIVE RESIDENCY(FLAGSHIP)

An immersive in-home experience.

Most integrative and hands-on pathway.
More in-person hours = deeper mentorship, embodiment, and clinical skill.
Prepares you for the highest professional standard and NCPT eligibility.

This is a healing residency for movement professionals, Pilates teachers, and therapists.

OPTION B — 12-MONTH INTENSIVE

Same curriculum condensed into monthly 5-day intensives.
Ideal for students with work/life constraints or traveling from outside Montréal.

Both pathways lead to the same 1,050-hour certification.

ADMISSIONS

Eligibility & What We Look For

The Studio Metriz Regenerative Residency is a selective, advanced professional immersion. Admission is based not only on credentials, but on readiness, professional maturity, and alignment with the residency’s depth and intent.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Hold a recognized certification in Pilates, movement education, or a related discipline

  • Be an advanced teacher-in-training nearing completion of a comprehensive program

  • Be a licensed or registered allied health professional (e.g., physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage therapy, rehabilitation, or related fields)

  • Demonstrate practical teaching or clinical experience working with bodies in a professional context

Applicants should already possess foundational knowledge of movement principles, anatomy, and teaching or therapeutic frameworks.

What We Look For in Applicants

We select residents who demonstrate:

  • A clear commitment to advancing their professional skill, not replacing foundational training

  • Curiosity about osteopathic principles, systems-based thinking, and nervous system regulation

  • Willingness to engage in embodied, experiential learning alongside intellectual study

  • Professional maturity, responsibility, and respect for shared learning environments

  • Interest in long-term sustainability, rather than short-term technique acquisition

  • Capacity for self-reflection and integration, both personally and professionally

  • Readiness to participate fully in a 12-month immersive format, including in-person intensives and residential learning

We are particularly interested in practitioners who sense that while their technical abilities are solid, their work would benefit from greater precision, integration, and physiological support.

Selection Considerations

Admission decisions are based on:

– Professional background and training

– Quality and depth of application responses

– Alignment with the residency’s clinical and regenerative focus

– Cohort balance and group integrity

– Capacity to engage respectfully within a shared residential learning environment

Acceptance into the residency includes a brief follow-up conversation to confirm fit and readiness.

This residency is designed for practitioners who already teach or work clinically and are ready to deepen how they assess, cue, support, and sustain the human system — including their own.
